Sorry for the lack of updates, I have been very busy with exams and plantar fasciitis which has been making it difficult to walk to our allotment. Here is a photo of our potato plants which are growing in our hugelbed. We have started digging another hugelbed but shortness of tiem is making it somewhat difficult.
I have been using newspaper and straw as way to kill the weeds in our allotment, which are a combination of dandelions, thistles and ground elder (groutweed) which is a big pain to remove. The newspaper is about 6 layers which are thoroughly wetted and then the straw is layed on top.
